West Woodland “Taking Care of Business Day”

What is Taking Care of Business Day (“TCB Day”) ?
We are happy to introduce Taking Care of Business Day at WW next fall! TCB Day will now mark the official beginning of West Woodland’s back to school process — a designated time where families can take care of as much business as possible prior to the first day of school. Our goal is to eliminate much of the paperwork that typically goes back and forth the first weeks of school and to minimize disruptions during class time
Taking Care of Business Includes:
• Update student information
• Complete and return school forms/paperwork
• Take school photos
• Pick up pre-ordered school supplies
• Deposit money into school lunch accounts
• Renew parent PTA memberships
• Talk with the school nurse – 10-2pm only
• Find out your teacher assignment at TCB day checkout!
(Class lists will be posted Friday Sept 3rd)
When is TCB day?
The 2010/2011 school year TCB day will be on Thursday September 2nd.
In order to avoid long wait times, and to effectively assist families we ask that you come to TCB day at the below scheduled time. We recognize that scheduled times may not be convenient so we have also designated an open time.

Incoming Kindergarteners & New West Woodland Families:
* New Families & Kindergarteners 10:00 am-11:30 am
• Teacher Meet N Greet 11:30 am-12:00 pm
* IF YOU HAVE A KINDERGARTNER & A SIBLING, YOU CAN COME TO ‘K’ TIME SLOT
Current West Woodland Families:
• Names A-L 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
• Names L-Z 3:00 pm-5:00 pm
• Open Time 5:00 pm-7:00 pm

How will families get their paperwork?
Packets will be available at the school office for pickup prior to TCB day by Monday August 23rd. This is an opportunity to fill out paperwork ahead of time and will greatly expedite your visit at TCB day.
What if my family is not able to pick up packets ahead of time?
Packets will be available at TCB day. Paperwork will need to be filled out at that time.
What if families are out of town or cannot attend?
Families that cannot attend will be invited to pick up their packets the first day of school. School photos will be taken for those who cannot attend later in the fall with re-takes and class pictures.
What do I need to bring to TCB Day?
• Completed forms (if you picked packet up ahead of time)
• Your checkbook
• Your child and their smiles- for the school photo!
