Please send the following items with your child on the first day of school:

 

        6 or more glue sticks (do not label)

        box of color markers (any size) (do not label)

        1 box of gallon size zip-lock bags

        backpack (please label with name and address)

        folder (please label with name and address)

        1 box crackers

 

American Red Cross Emergency Kit - $12.00

FIRST GRADE   Back to top

 

All items will be shared communally within the classroom except for the backpacks and folders.

 

backpack (with child’s name on it)

folders, each with pockets on the bottom

large “MY FIRST” pencils with erasers on them

    erasers-large pink

    large glue sticks

box colored pencils with 24 pencils

box washable markers, thick or thin

1           package mini post it notes (1 X 2 inches, any colors)

 

 

 

 

SECOND GRADE   Back to top

 (Basic needs for all 2nd Grade classes)

 

 

1 backpack (labeled inside with the child’s first and last name)

3 #2 yellow pencils (sharpened)

1 large eraser or 3 pencil cap erasers

1 pair of scissors (child sized Fiskars style)

1 supply box (9 x 5 x 3 “spacemaker” style works best)

1 box of tissues

chapter book for sustained silent reading

1 box colored pencils

1 large or 3 small glue sticks

12 inch/cm ruler

crayons

Pee-chee style folder for transport of work (notices to and from school)

 

 

The following supplies would be helpful but are not required: 

felt-tipped markers, pencil sharpener (with tightly fitting shavings catcher).

 

 

Individual teachers may send home additional requests for personal classroom needs after the start of the new school year.

 

 

 

THIRD GRADE   Back to top

 

Individual Student Supply

1 package of wide ruled notebook paper (not college-ruled please)

1 backpack (labeled inside with the child's first and last name)

1 box of 12 #2 yellow pencils  (at least 2 sharpened)*

1 large eraser or 3 pencil cap erasers

1 pair of scissors (child sized Fiskars style)

1 supply box (9X5X3)  "spacemaker" style works best

chapter book for sustained silent reading

1 box colored pencils

2 yellow highlighters

12 inch/cm ruler – standard straight edge solid ruler

          not bendy, soft or hinged rulers

At least 6 basic colors dry erase markers (Expo works best)

          These will need to be replenished mid-year

 

Items for the class

2 boxes of tissues

3 to 5 packages of 3”X3” “Post It” notes – plain yellow preferred

5 glue sticks

 

Please do NOT send in crayons unless requested by specific teacher

 

The following supplies would be helpful but are not required:  Slim felt-tipped markers, pencil sharpener (with tightly fitting shavings catcher),

 

****As many items as possible should be marked with student name.****

 

 

 

FOURTH GRADE   Back to top

 

Please try to bring as many of these items as you can on the first day of school.  If you cannot bring everything for whatever reason, don’t worry; we will help you get what you need to start the school year off right!

 

3-ring, one-inch binder.  Absolutely no zipper or Velcro binders!!!  Keep it simple!

1 package of five or more dividers

2 packages wide-lined notebook paper to share with the class

1 pencil box or zippered pencil poncho

2 pink erasers

colored pencils – used in science and very important

1 box of No. 2 pencils – NO mechanical pencils (Also, avoid the “RoseArt” brand – not a quality pencil)

glue sticks

1 ruler with both centimeters and inches – old-fashioned wooden rulers are best

2 black and white “Composition” books

a small manual pencil sharpener

a pair of scissors

1 box of tissues to share with the class

skinny colored markers

3 x 3 post-its (3 pkgs or more)

 

 

VERY optional items – sometimes nice to have

a water bottle

simple calculator

mini stapler (but then you have to supply your own staples)

a roll of clear tape

an inexpensive drawing notebook

your own flash drive (a lanyard helps it not get lost too easily)

 

 

REMEMBER, NO TOYS:  THE LESS SCHOOL SUPPLIES LOOK LIKE TOYS, THE LESS LIKELY THEY ARE TO BE PLAYED WITH LIKE TOYS AND THEN BROKEN AND/OR TAKEN AWAY. 

GO FOR QUALITY, NOT ‘COOL’ WHEN BUYING SCHOOL SUPPLIES!!
