Supplies Needed: Paints, brushes, meat trays to hold
paint on desks – one for each primary color, paper plates, paper labels for the
color wheel
Activities
1.
Color Wheels using
Paint
Preparation: Using paper plates, divide the inside into a
6-section pie with a black market and label the outside edges with primary and
secondary color equations:
Red,
Red + Blue, Blue, Blue + Yellow, Yellow, Yellow + Red
Activity: have them start with the dark colors first, paint
the blue, paint the blue in the “red & blue” and then add the red to make
purple, etc.
